The first Annual Vestry Meeting of the new Ministry Area Council will take place in St Edmund’s Church, Crickhowell. We will be formally appointing the council reps and voting on other positions.
It would be helpful to have nominations in advance, and items for any other business should be submitted by 5pm Monday 26th for inclusion.
Agenda
Opening Prayer.
- Receive and appoint the Church Committee Representatives from each member church.
- Agree on the MA Officers (not the position holders at this stage) required by our MA. Based on our previous practice we need:
- Chairperson
- Treasurer
- Safeguarding Coordinator
- Secretary
- Based on the nominations received, elect the required officers.
(Elected chair to continue) - Based on the nominations received, elect the MA Churchwardens (2)
- Receive and vote on nominations for the lay Diocesan Conference representatives. We are required to appoint 5 lay representatives for the period 2023 – 2024, effective immediately. If possible we also should maintain a list of substitutes should any elected member be unable to attend the annual meeting.
- Receive and vote on nominations for the Diocesan Standing Committee. We are required to appoint 2 members to this committee, one of whom must be a lay person
