Mission Action Plan

Pentecost 2025 sees the launch of our Ministry Area Mission Action Plan, calling us all to work together as we seek to develop and deepen our own discipleship and service, as well as to reach out to others in our community with the Gospel of Jesus.

The Mission Action Plan is intended to help us all to live out God’s personal call to mission in our local communities. Working together, we can achieve far more than we can as individual churches. I hope that we will all be able to contribute to making our vision bear spiritual fruit for the Kingdom, under the leading and empowering of the Holy Spirit.

We have also prepared a prayer sheet containing a different short prayer to use on each day of the week. Print as double-sided (flip on short edge and fold) and use it as part of your daily prayer routine.

Crickhowell

Crickhowell

St. Edmund’s is the Parish Church of Crickhowell in the Usk valley on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, serving a population of just over 2000 people. The aim of all we do can be expressed in the call to worship God and express the love of Jesus in the World. This vision is rooted firmly in the Bible’s teaching about what it means to be a Christian today.

We use a variety of styles of worship in our Sunday services, catering for a range of ages and traditions. In the main morning service we use a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. Activities for primary-aged children are available during most services, and there is a children’s corner for parents with babies and toddlers.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the mid-morning service and you are most welcome to join us.

Our prayer ministry team is available in the Lady Chapel after the 10:45 service if you wish to pray with them in confidence about any matter. Alternatively, this is a place of quiet where you may pray on your own.

During the week we have several homegroups provide an opportunity to discuss matters of faith in greater depth.
