St Peter’s Llanbedr was previously part of the Vale of Grwyne parish, an amalgamation of three former parishes, Llangenny, Llanbedr and Patricio. All three churches are now part of the St Catwg Ministry area and generally follow a traditional Anglican style of worship.
This centuries old medieval church is quite large for its small surroundings. The churchyard has several Yew trees, one of which was recently dated as 3,000 years old. The church and outside has several memorials created by the Brute family of stonemasons. Some date back to the 17th Century and are notable for the colourful carved cherubs.
