Raised just over the border in Herefordshire but going to school in Wales, Anne spent far too long in the south-east of England before returning to the wonderful area of the Welsh marches in 2014. A former secondary school teacher, Anne trained to be a Reader whilst living in the Diocese of Oxford and was licensed in 1992.
She is married to Martin and between them they have five adult children and two lovely little grandsons.
Anne is based at St Elli’s church which serves the village of Gilwern and other communities in the Clydach Gorge area. She is particularly involved in encouraging people in prayer, providing regular worship services in a local care home and fostering links with other churches. Anne also writes a Thought for the Month for the Ministry Area magazine.
Anne is a long-distance walker and lightweight camper and spends several months each year on pilgrimage to places such as the island of Bardsey and St David’s in Wales, Glendalough in Ireland, Crediton in Devon and the ancient cathedrals of Brittany. She has recently published her first book, about walking around Wales on pilgrimage in 2015. You can find out more on Anne’s website, Pilgrim Street.
