Shwmae! I am so thrilled to have joined the Ministry Area’s clergy team, with primary responsibility for the communities of Llangenny, Llanbedr and Patricio. It’s been a dream of mine to move back to Wales ever since I studied languages at Lampeter University several decades ago, and I am currently trying to resurrect those latent skills to learn Welsh!

Residing in the newly renovated Llangenny Rectory with me are my two rescue dogs, Hazel and Hubert, both of whom had traumatic lives in North Macedonia prior to adoption. The move to safety hasn’t necessarily been an easy transition, especially given my car accident in March 2023, from which I’m still recovering, and the dogs still exhibit a very noisy and exuberant welcome to visitor.
I spent the last few years as assistant curate in the Elham Valley Benefice, a group of eight rural churches in south-east Kent, where I discovered a love for rural ministry, which I am delighted to be able to continue, whilst also drawing on my experience of setting up new types of worship. I have four gorgeous adult children (Rebecca, Naomi, Jacob and Isaac) who are all forging their own lives in Kent and of whom I am immensely proud. Knowing that our God is one who knows each of us individually and completely, and who loves us unconditionally, is a massive reassurance to me on a daily basis! I can’t think of a more gorgeous place to be living, learning and sharing the Good News of his abundant love than with and amongst you all.
